Erins Party!

Erin is 4 years old. I can't believe it! One quick funny story before I get to the party. At church in primary they sang happy birthday to her. Very typical but when they finished Erin was so excited for her birthday that she continued to sing Happy Birthday to herself after every one else finished (She even sang "happy birthday to me")! Funny girl. I sure love her.

Erins Birthday Party was today. We did a Fancy Nancy party and it was super cute. Although I did learn a few things. 1- I tend to go over board. There were tons of kids (but I love them all), there was tons of food (I love food) and it was very fancy (I even rented table cloths). 2- You need 2 people in charge. I just couldn't do it all myself. James' brother helped me tons and I had some friends give a lot of help (THANKYOU!!!) but it would have been much easier to have 2 steady adults in charge. 3- Avoid activities where children paint (duh).

Well anyways I loved it and Erin loved it. All in all I think it was a success. I feel bad because I was running late so I was setting up the tea party as everyone else did the cute crafts. This was hard on Erin, myself and I am sure our guest. But I thank everyone for their help and understanding.

Here's what we did. I had a big paper with fancy glitter markers and it said "Happy Birthday Erin" then all her friends signed their names. We also had rings to paint and make(way cute but too messy and involved for 3-4yr olds). There was also a flower hair barrette to make that was super easy and cute. Fancy Nancy coloring pages. I also read to them the main Fancy Nancy book (I highly recommend it to any little girl). But the bulk of the party was the Tea Party Lunch.

Didn't these turn out way cute!

The banquet table. The balloons are being held down by a fancy shoe. I really wish I had gotten a close up picture of the cake, but I was to crazy to remember that. (I also wish I had gotten a picture of Erin in her fancy cloths by herself but oh well....) We had cucumber sandwiches in the shape of flowers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with frilly toothpicks (a must for Fancy Nancy), jello jigglers, and veggies. Our 'tea" was strawberry lemon aid.

One of the food tables. They turned our so cute!!!

A close up. As you can see we used all sorts of accessories. The other table had a large purple feather boa on it and similar accessories.

Erin opening presents. This of coarse was her favorite. It was cute. I did get a picture of her with each kid as they gave her their presents.

The Tea party. I have to say it was so fun to see all these cute kids dressed up fancy.

Wow! You go all out! For Bradley's birthday I'm having kids decorate their own cupcakes and maybe we'll do a pinata. I might even splurge for some balloons!
