My Happy Little Man

So Van has been such a wonderful addition to our family.  He is such a happy baby and we all love him soo much.
We blessed him the first Sunday in June.
The hat kills me! I love it.

See he is even happy after Kaylee attacked him.
On lily's birthday he was sooo good and easy going.  What a blessing! This is how he spent his day.
And here is a video from right around 3 months old.
He is just such a good happy baby.  Don't get me wrong though he still can cry and I think he has one of the most heart breaking cries ever.  Good thing he doesn't cry too often.
At 5 months old he is rolling everywhere. He wants to crawl but he can only get his front end or back end in up  so he's is thankfully not doing that yet. And besides nursing his favorite food is peas.  Isn't that funny.
I sure love this little guy! I guess I need to get a few more updated photos of him though...

Little Lil's Other Happenings

Lily sure has been busy the last few months. Not only did she turn 5 but she also graduated from pre-school, had a gymnastic recital and then was asked to join an invitation only team and some other fun things.
Here are some pictures from preschool graduation.

And a quick little video

Now here are a bunch of pics from her gymnastics recital and a video too.

Lily also had one other big thing happen to her recently.  She cut off her hair and donated it to Locks of Love.  And can I say I believe this is the cutest hair cut ever on this child.  Oh we both love it so much!!!

5 yrs old

Yep my little Lily turned 5 years old last month.  It is hard to believe. This year Lily's favorite thing has been bubble gum so she had a bubble gum themed birthday party.  And as usual I am to crazy before and during the party to get any decent pictures but James got a few for me.
This first picture is on her birthday where she got the one present she had been begging for.  A gumball machine.
Here all the girls at the party are making their own pizza.
We got a book called 'Bubble Um Bubble Gum and read it at the party.
Just had to show you these awesome cute balloons!

We played pin the gum ball on the gumball machine.

Here is Lily opening presents.  If you look you will notice all the girls wearing bubble gum necklaces that we made I just never got a good picture of that activity.

Here is the table that had the party favors and game supplies etc on it.  Each girl got a mini gumball machine and the pink polka-dot bags have bracelets, bouncy balls and bubbles in them.  I figured their gumball necklaces was enough candy.
I swear I rotated this photo but now it isn't.  Oh well here is the birthday cake.  The "gumballs" were cake balls.
Along with the cake I made a homemade bubble gum ice cream that was really yummy.

Lily and her friends had lots of fun. And I am glad the her 5 year old birthday party is done with:)

2=potty, markers, and cuteness

Yep I am talking about my Kaylee today.  What a wonderful handful she is.
She is the most independent little thing ever.A few things she wont let me be involved in are: putting her shoes on, help her wipe at the potty, stir fruit into her oatmeal, and brush her teeth. She thinks she is as big as Erin is.
But she is also the cutest, sweetest little girl.  She loves to be helpful, she gives the tightest hugs and she has sweetest my innocent smile ever.
She also loves to make messes.  At least once a week she dumps all the drawers out in her room.  Nearly daily I am washing marker, crayon or chalk off the walls.  I have started putting the shampoo and soap away in high cupboards between bath time otherwise I am having to buy a new bottle every other week.
She also loves her little brother to death.  She just doesn't know how to softly show that she loves him.
She also loves dolls and stuffed animals so much.  I frequently find her sleeping like this.
Ahh what a fun 2 year old she is.  She is definitely giving me a run for my money, but I love that little stinker more than I can express.

Piano, Soccer, Broken Bones and Books

Wow the past few months have been crazy!  So to catch up I am just going to do a post for each child.  So today we are getting caught up on Erin.
First off I must say that I am so grateful for her.  She is the biggest help and so much fun.
In May she had her first piano recital.  She did wonderfully.  I was impressed at how easily she memorized the songs and at how well she played. (sorry I forgot my camera but she looked lovely too.)  She was rather nervous and forgot to introduce herself at the beginning, but as she sat down to play her good practice took over and she did wonderfully.
Also this spring she played soccer again.  She improved so much this year and worked hard.  I am proud of her.  She really is an amazing worker.

Erin had another first for our family recently.  She broke her wrist.  She was playing with some friends and one fell on her wrist and broke it.  It is a minor break so they have only braced it (yay no cast!) And thankfully it happened in the summer.

Erin has also been a book worm.  I have a hard time getting her to put a book down.  We will go to the library and within 2 days she has read 4 chapter books!  I just can't keep up with her.
