One of my favorties

I have a confession to make. I LOVE VEGGIE TALES!!!! I just thought I would share this with you all and hopefully you will enjoy it as well. Here are my reasons for loving it: 1- It centers around biblical stories and themes. So while it thoroughly entertains the kids it also teaches them some good lessons.
2- It is hilarious!!! Each episode has an interlude of Silly Songs with Larry. Here is a video of "I Love My Lips" And Barbara Manatee here
3- My girls like vegetables (maybe not eating them but they still like them:)

I know I am silly but we all need some sort of silliness to get us through.
Enjoy!!!!

10ish Days!!!!

Yes that is right. James will be home in approximately 10 days, I can't believe it myself. This most certainly has been an interesting year. I have learned a lot and my faith and testimony have grown immensely. I am grateful for the learning experiences I have had.
The funny thing is, this last month has been by far the hardest month ever!!! I think it is because I knew it was getting close for James to come home so I stopped relying on the Lord as much. (I know really stupid of me). So I have had to relearn to rely on the Lord which seems funny because that is what this whole year has been about. I guess my point is that we can not make it through life successfully without the Lords help at all times, the good and bad, hard and easy, ups and downs... you get the point. I am so grateful for his love and care and help. His support to me has been vital. I just hope that I don't "forget" this lesson next month and have to relearn it again.
But for now I would like to say Thank you to all of you for your prayers and support in mine and all others serving/supporting the military behalf's.. They have not gone unfelt. They have been needed and will still be needed for those still out there.

Happy Valentines

Just a quick note to tell you all Happy Valentines. Since hubby isn't around this year I am not doing anything extravagant, and I don't really mind. I love the idea of valentines and I love the simple I love you's, but not having to worry about a present and the wait at a restaruant is so relieving. So we had pink pancakes for breakfast and dressed up cute and we will probably make a yummy treat today. Simple and sweet and full of love!!!

Erins heart hair is a big thanks to Hair For my Princess.

Erins Party!

Erin is 4 years old. I can't believe it! One quick funny story before I get to the party. At church in primary they sang happy birthday to her. Very typical but when they finished Erin was so excited for her birthday that she continued to sing Happy Birthday to herself after every one else finished (She even sang "happy birthday to me")! Funny girl. I sure love her.

Erins Birthday Party was today. We did a Fancy Nancy party and it was super cute. Although I did learn a few things. 1- I tend to go over board. There were tons of kids (but I love them all), there was tons of food (I love food) and it was very fancy (I even rented table cloths). 2- You need 2 people in charge. I just couldn't do it all myself. James' brother helped me tons and I had some friends give a lot of help (THANKYOU!!!) but it would have been much easier to have 2 steady adults in charge. 3- Avoid activities where children paint (duh).

Well anyways I loved it and Erin loved it. All in all I think it was a success. I feel bad because I was running late so I was setting up the tea party as everyone else did the cute crafts. This was hard on Erin, myself and I am sure our guest. But I thank everyone for their help and understanding.

Here's what we did. I had a big paper with fancy glitter markers and it said "Happy Birthday Erin" then all her friends signed their names. We also had rings to paint and make(way cute but too messy and involved for 3-4yr olds). There was also a flower hair barrette to make that was super easy and cute. Fancy Nancy coloring pages. I also read to them the main Fancy Nancy book (I highly recommend it to any little girl). But the bulk of the party was the Tea Party Lunch.

Didn't these turn out way cute!

The banquet table. The balloons are being held down by a fancy shoe. I really wish I had gotten a close up picture of the cake, but I was to crazy to remember that. (I also wish I had gotten a picture of Erin in her fancy cloths by herself but oh well....) We had cucumber sandwiches in the shape of flowers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with frilly toothpicks (a must for Fancy Nancy), jello jigglers, and veggies. Our 'tea" was strawberry lemon aid.

One of the food tables. They turned our so cute!!!

A close up. As you can see we used all sorts of accessories. The other table had a large purple feather boa on it and similar accessories.

Erin opening presents. This of coarse was her favorite. It was cute. I did get a picture of her with each kid as they gave her their presents.

The Tea party. I have to say it was so fun to see all these cute kids dressed up fancy.

Mess Maker

When the girls make messes I frequently sing to them "Mess maker" (to the tune of match maker from fiddler on the roof). I decided today I need to stop because Lily is really trying to live up to that. The first experience that made me question was 1 week ago during my Relief Society meetings. Since James isn't around to watch the girls we do the meetings at my home. I really try to have my home clean for this and it usually is pretty good. Well last week by the time the meeting was done my home was messier then it was before the day began. Coloring book pages ripped out and thrown everywhere, crayons and pencils dumped throughout the house (for some reason I thought coloring would keep the girls entertained). Stuff from my kitchen drawers scattered around. Not to mention the normal mess of toys strewn about. And to top it off, Lily was being really mean and naughty so I put her in her room for a time out. Their door doesn't close all the way so I have a hook on the top to lock it and I had locked it. Well Erin felt bad for her so she pushed on the door until she ripped the hook out of the wall. I was so frustrated and tired and thought that was the worst.

NEVER EVER EVER think something is the worst!!!!

While Erin was a school today I decided to hop in the shower, I gave Lily a little snack and turned on the TV thinking it would buy me 10min. At the end of the 10 min this is what I found.

Just in case you are not sure what you are looking at, it is a mixture of lipstick, red marker and black marker all over everything! I didn't even take pictures of the carpet or couch and multiple toys!!! (by the way any suggestions of how to black marker out of couches and lipstick out of carpet?)
Every time I turn around today I am finding it on something else. So much for the laundry and bathrooms that I had planned today.
