Lily's in Preschool

So Lily recently started preschool.  She feels way to little to me for this, but I guess it's part of life.  She is going to an excellent preschool and the best part is she gets to go for free.  Unfortunately that's also the worst part.  Lily easily qualifies for speech therapy through the school system.  So along with preschool she goes to speech.  I sure hope starting her this young helps.  Here she is ready to go on her first day.
Here she is outside her classroom door.  She was so excited to go in I couldn't get her to look at me.
Along with preschool and speech she also gets to ride the bus.  She was even more excited to ride the bus than she was for preschool..

Kelsey still has a hard time saying things but when I took her in to the district they said it wasn't bad enough to get any help, which was frustrating because I know she has a problem and I don't want her to get made fun of for having a hard time talking. She can't even sing any primary songs because she can't put that many words together and I am so frustrated. So I WISH it was "bad" enough to get help because then I would feel like there was hope of improvement. Good luck to Lilly. She is such a cutie.

I am sorry Andrea. I have thought of you a couple times throughout this process. Have you checked to see if your insurance would cover private speech therapy. Ours wont because there is nothing anatomically incorrect with her mouth. We thought about paying for it ourselfs but then we found out it cost $70-$90 per hour. Ouch. Good luck.

Ya, our insurance doesn't cover it either, and I thought about paying for it out of pocket, but her dr. said she didn't think I needed to worry about it. So I am trying not to worry about it. She does improve as time goes by so if it gets to the point where she is no longer improving then I will go back to the district and demand something more.
