I think 4 year olds are just about the funniest people on earth. Erin has me laughing all the time. I really need to be better about writing these down, but today she had me laughing so hard I had to share it. James was asking her about school at breakfast so this is how their dialog went.
James: So what poem are you learning in preschool this week Erin?
Erin: Its about a turkey with big feathers that runs away just before Thanksgiving.
James: Oh can you tell me how it goes?
Erin: On it's feet.
It still cracks me up. It's like Erin was setting James up for the perfect joke, but she was completely honest. I just love how 4 yr olds view the world.

Halloween
I know I am a bit late but here are some Halloween pictures finally. After trying all week to carve pumpkins we finally did it Friday night (better late then never right?) We gave the girls markers to draw their faces on then James and I carved their faces. We had to do some interpretive carving.
James and I used patterns to carve our pumpkins. I did a witch looking into a crystal ball and James did a mummy. He was so proud of his mummy and I admit I liked it better than mine, but his favorite moment was when we had trick-or-treaters admiring the mummy than ask what the other one was.Now for the important stuff; costumes. Erin decided she wanted to be Little Red Riding Hood and on the same pattern she picked was a really cute Little Bo Peep pattern, so I made that for Lily. I think they turned out super cute (although I am not sure it was worth the stress)
I hope you all had a great Halloween. We still have a bowl full of candy so if you get a sugar hunkering come on over (please I think I gained 5 lbs this week)
